People are often seen using different fishing techniques that include hand gathering, netting, spearfishing, angling, bow fishing and trapping. From Indonesia to Malaysia, people are often seen using different methods like digging holes in fields and employing bamboo sticks to trap snakes as well; or using nets to catch fish in fields. A recent video related to fishing has caught the attention of social media users. The video is making rounds online. In the viral clip, a man is seen tossing a strange object, tied to an iron chain, into a well. The object looks like a piece of meat. It remains unknown whether the person is trying to catch a big fish from the well or something else. Some users believe that the well is used for fish farming, hinting at a potential connection between the person and fish farming activities.
The video was posted on the Instagram account Fish Farm (@thefishworld_). The caption of the post reads, “What he wants”. So far, the video has garnered over 120 million views and is still counting more. Social media users have commented on the video.

One user wrote, “What is that thing? Why is it on a chain?”. Another user added, “It is a cow’s liver, it is thrown into the septic tank because the bacteria it contains proliferate in the well decomposing the faecal matter”. A third user commented, “It looks like a giant liver”. “Why did the guy throw a giant fig into the well?”.
This is not the first time, such videos often send the internet into a frenzy. Just a few days ago, a similar video surfaced, showing a man tossing a piece of meat into a well before sealing it shut. The setting shows the man amidst a backdrop of lush greenery. The video has generated over 38,000 views and is still increasing.

Another practice of using meat as bait to catch fish is widespread among anglers. Whether fresh, frozen, or preserved, various types of meat like chicken, beef, pork, and seafood are effective bait options.
