Japan's Self-pouring Beer Machine Goes Viral, But Not Everyone Is Impressed
The invention of the self-pouring beer machine in Japan is making waves on the internet and content creators show how the machine actually works.

Cutting edge technology and smart innovations are transforming the way we see the world. Scientific progress is reshaping various experiences for greater convenience, cost effectiveness and time efficiency. Many inventions focus on delivering fully automated solutions with minimal human intervention. One such invention making waves on the internet is a self-pouring beer machine in Japan. In the short clip, the content creator shows how the machine actually works. However, it appears that the machine has failed to impress beer lovers, as the video garnered mixed reactions to the invention.

Showing the process, the content creator initially is seen taking out the chilled glass from a nearby refrigerator and puts it on the machine. A notice on the machine warns, ‘Caution: The glass will tilt. Do not touch the glass until the beer is completely filled.’ Following these instructions, the machine precisely tilts the glass at two angles while filling it with beer. When the glass is approximately 90% filled, the machine adds a specific amount of foam to complete the pouring process. Sharing the video, the Instagrammer wrote, “Wait for it. Self-Pouring Beer Machine in Japan. That perfect touch at the end. I mean what isn’t great in Japan? This is the kind of technology I can get behind. What do you think? Can’t wait for my next trip to Japan to get more food and drink. United Lounge in Narita if you want to try it out.”

The self-pouring beer machine garnered attention on the internet, with some expressing admiration for the innovative concept while others remained unimpressed and criticised the quantity and addition of foam.

Reacting to the video, a user shared, “The only reason this is a bad pour is because the foam is added rather than created with the pour itself. Otherwise good. But it will never be a substitute for a proper human bartender.”

Another wondered, “What’s the point of tilting the glass when in the end it added the unwanted froth.”

“The German in me loves engineering but hates the poor,” a comment read.

An individual shared, “The foam is supposed to come from the beer not added. Please from the love of god.”

Another added, “All beer lovers cry when they see this. NOT the proper way.”

One more wrote, “They need to reprogram that thing. Why intentionally add that much head?”

Since the content creator shared the video, it has accumulated over 19 million views on Instagram.
