A strange case from the Sipri Bazaar Nandanpura area of Jhansi district, Uttar Pradesh has recently attracted significant attention on social media. A family’s unusual response to a snakebite has left many amazed, as they involved a live snake in the child’s treatment process.
The incident involves a 15-year-old boy named Sangeet who was bitten by a snake. In a surprising turn of events, the boy’s family, with the help of a snake charmer, managed to capture the snake. They then placed it in a box and brought it to the hospital along with the boy.
The family explained that the boy had been bitten by the snake while he was sleeping. The scene at the hospital turned chaotic when the snake was revealed, causing people to scatter in fear. The family’s rationale for bringing the snake was to help the doctors identify the type of venom and treat the boy accordingly. In addition, while the boy was being treated, his family went to the nearby Shiva temple, located behind the emergency ward, to offer prayers.
The boy’s mother, Kiran, stated that the snake had bitten her son while the family was sleeping on the ground. Although the snake initially escaped, the family decided to enlist a snake charmer to capture it, believing that having the snake would aid in the boy’s treatment.
While the boy’s treatment continues in the hospital, the family has placed the snake at the Shiva temple and is performing a puja, hoping this will help cure the boy and remove the poison from his body.
This incident has sparked widespread attention and ignited a conversation about the intersection of traditional beliefs and modern medicine. As the family pursues both ritualistic practices and medical treatment, the community remains divided over the effectiveness and safety of combining such traditional methods with contemporary healthcare approaches.
