Swifties can go to any length to catch a glimpse of their favourite singer-songwriter. Nothing can stop a true Taylor Swift fan from attending her concert, be it the weather, hefty prices or even physical discomfort. This is exactly what Jenn Gutierrez, a 31-year-old from Canberra, Australia, did. At 38 weeks pregnant, just two weeks from her due date, Jenn flew 412 kilometres to Melbourne to see Taylor Swift perform live. Accompanied by her husband Michael Sin and her twin sister, Jenn was determined to enjoy the concert to the fullest.

Upon arriving at the concert, Jenn joined thousands of other fans in dancing and singing along. However, about an hour into the show during the Reputation set, she began feeling contractions. Despite the discomfort, she continued to enjoy the concert, singing and dancing through the pain. It wasn’t until the trio returned to their hotel that the contractions subsided. The next morning, they flew back home. A few days later, in February 2024, Jenn gave birth to a baby girl, as reported by the New York Post.

“They started during the Reputation set. I thought I’m not going anywhere. If this baby comes she coming out now. The contractions got progressively worse,” Jenn, who works as an executive assistant, told the NY Post.

“In the Midnight’s set I thought ‘OMG, I’m going to have this baby right now,” she added.

She further revealed that she and her twin sister have been huge fans of Taylor Swift for a long time. They were thrilled when they managed to purchase VIP tickets for the concert after spending around 600 Australian Dollars (approximately Rs 33,000). They had also not anticipated that Jenn would be this close to her due date during the concert.

“We were doing the maths and we didn’t think I was going to be that pregnant initially. We then realised we were cutting it close. We were adamant about going. No way we were going to miss the show,” explained Jenn.

Recalling her concert experience further, she told the NY Post that by the end of the show, she couldn’t even stand or walk properly.

A few days later, Jenn reportedly gave birth to a healthy baby girl weighing around 3.3 kilograms. Talking about her newborn, Jenn said, “The first song she listened to was Fearless by Taylor Swift. She is an imbedded Swiftie.”
