'Happens Only In Bengaluru': Man Books Ride On Ola And Uber, Gets Same Driver

Booking cabs is nowadays one of the easiest ways to commute. But we’ve to accept that sometimes, it takes way too long to get a simple process such as this done. To escape the waiting period, we try to book cabs from more than one application. But in this matter too, Bengaluru has a unique story to tell. Known as the Startup Capital Of India, Bengaluru never fails to disappoint netizens with its hilarious incidents. Recently, a man tried to book a cab from both Ola and Uber apps and guess what happened next? He got the same driver for both the rides.

Taking to X, a man named Shek shared a screenshot that displays the booking screen of both Ola and Uber which featured the same driver named Ananda S and the same White Etios Taxi with the same number KA03AH3126. Sharing the post, the man wrote on X, “Got the same ride on both Ola and Uber. How’s this even possible.”

Soon after the man shared the post, it went viral on social media and netizens couldn’t control themselves from reacting to it.

One user wrote, “True Hustler.” Another one commented, “The driver was actually very sweet! He uses multiple apps cause he wanted to optimize for better price.” A third user wrote, “The cab driver is using both applications to acquire more rides and faster (known fact).” Another said, “Happens a lot.. mostly they also end up cancelling the uber ride as ola pays more (maybe, since Ola is comparatively costlier).”

The man who dropped the post on X also shared, “Update, I took the cab. Ananda did show up and I didn’t even have to ask him to switch on the AC. Lucky indeed.”

The post was shared on X on April 4 and since then it has gathered around 189,000 views.
