Elon Musk Mocks Mark Zuckerberg’s Surfing Video, Says 'I Prefer To Work'

Mark Zuckerberg has been stepping away from his usual image lately and flaunting his cooler, laid back vibes. Over the past few months, the Meta CEO has been making headlines for trading his typical tech attire for casual looks like loose T-shirts and gold chains. He even turned heads when he was spotted at McDonald’s in a furry coat. Yet again, Zuckerberg surprised the internet as he celebrated the Fourth of July in style.

In the video circulating online, the entrepreneur could be seen surfing while holding a can of beer in one hand and an American flag in the other. While many praised Zuckerberg, not everyone was impressed. Billionaire Elon Musk took a jab at Zuckerberg’s holiday video and joked on X that he would rather focus on work than celebrate the festival.

Zuckerberg’s recent surfing video seems to have intensified the ongoing rivalry. Although Musk didn’t address Zuckerberg’s surfing video directly, he responded to another X user who had a negative view on Zuckerberg’s antics. The individual wrote, “Everyone is praising Mark for this video but personally I still think he sucks.” Replying to the comment, Musk added, “May he continue to have fun on his yachts. I prefer to work.”

Reacting to the criticism, a user wrote, “You’re doing something far more important than playing with yachts.”

Another suggested, “Elon you’re allowed to take a day off in the name of America.”

The ongoing clash between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg allegedly began last year when Musk proposed a cage fight. However, Zuckerberg cancelled it, claiming that the Tesla CEO wasn’t serious, as he never confirmed his dates. The feud escalated when Zuckerberg launched Threads, an app similar to X.

Musk seemed to be ready for the match as he revisited the topic just after Zuckerberg celebrated his 40th birthday in May. As per Fortune, the billionaire CEO shared his willingness to face the Meta boss in a fight anywhere, anytime and under any conditions.
