Another Vlogger Falls To Death? The Truth Behind Viral Clip
A resurfaced video has reignited the debate on safety concerns surrounding the shooting of reels in dangerous locations.

There has been a concerning increase in accidents involving content creators and vloggers filming at hazardous locations, leading to serious injuries and fatalities. Recently, in a tragic incident at a waterfall in Maharashtra, a 27-year-old travel vlogger lost her life while recording a video with her friends. She reportedly lost her balance on the slippery surface and fell into the gorge. This incident has ignited a new debate online and highlighted similar occurrences.

Amid the online discussions, a video has resurfaced involving a young YouTuber named Akash Sagar. The circulating video shows the influencer losing his balance before drowning in the fast-moving water. A section of social media users reshared the clip, stating that Akash Sagar lost his life while making reels.

While social media users believe that the accident led to his death, there’s no truth to it. Originally shared in October 2023, the incident was captured while creating a YouTube video when Akash Sagar lost his balance and fell into the water. However, he was reportedly rescued by a man standing on the other side of the river.

A user wrote, “This man is Viral on Instagram that he lost his life… Reality: He is fine, He fell but survived. His name is Akash Sagar & He is vlogger.”

Another commented, “He is Akash Sagar. This video is 9 months old and he is alive.”

Another one remarked, “Stop Being Stupid for God’s Sake or else you may get God’s invitation early.”

Waterfall-Related Disasters

Identified as Aanvi Kamdar, a resident of Mumbai, a travel influencer died after falling into a dangerously slippery gorge near the Kumbhe waterfalls in Mangaon, Raigad. While capturing pictures and videos of the waterfall, she slipped and fell straight into the 350-foot-deep gorge.

While she was initially rescued alive from the gorge, she passed away during the treatment, said the Superintendent of Police Raigad, Somnath Gharge.

This incident occurred just days after a family of five tragically drowned at a waterfall near the Bhushi Dam in Lonavala, Pune. What started as a picnic with their children turned into a nightmare when the strong currents swept away the whole family.
