Shehzad Shaikh On His New Show Mehndi Wala Ghar: 'Felt Like Tales Of My Own Family'

Shehzad Shaikh is ready to enchant audiences with his portrayal of Rahul Agrawal in the upcoming family drama, Mehndi Wala Ghar. The show will introduce viewers to the Agrawal family in Ujjain, exploring family bonds and keeping us curious about whether they stay united during tough times. In an interview with a leading media outlet, Shehzad Shaikh opened up about his experience and shared insights into his character on the show.

During the interview with ETimes, Shehzad shared, “I am a big believer in the saying – the family that eats together, prays together, stays together. Capturing a similar thought is our show, Mehndi Wala Ghar. The story of the Agrawal family is sure to strike a chord with viewers across India. When I heard the story and about the characters, it felt like I was being narrated tales of my own family, be it the strict yet endearing matriarch, the loving Chacha, or mischievous cousins-this heartwarming show will remind you of your extended family.”

He further added, “My character Rahul is a very kind-hearted, fun-loving extrovert and a no-nonsense person with his own set of beliefs when it comes to family, hence it makes for a challenging yet fulfilling role to play.”

Recently, the show’s creators unveiled a new promo on Sony TV’s Instagram handle. The teaser captures Mauli (Played by Shruti Anand) making a heartfelt promise to her father, Manoj Agrawal (Played by Karan Mehra), that she will reunite him with his family in Ujjain. However, his family seems hesitant to forgive him for his past actions.

Shehzad Sheikh is known for playing the character Rehan Imran Qureshi in Qubool Hai, Arjun Hooda in Bepannah, and Naksh Singhania in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
