Pavitra Punia has been in the television industry for quite some time now and has been part of several daily soaps and reality shows. The actress went through a difficult time towards the end of 2023 when she lost her father in a fatal accident at home. Recovering from the loss, the actress decided to start the New Year on a spiritual note and bring in some positivity in her life. Pavitra decided to take a tour of Vaishno Devi this year and seek blessings from the goddess.
In conversation with ETimes, Pavitra Punia shared about her experience in the divine shrine. She stated, “I have started my New Year with divine blessings and what better way to start it with Maa Vaishno Devi, the mother of all. To be able to spend it with her and to give in to all that she is will always be the way I would have wanted to end a year and start a new one. In complete surrender. Whatever will happen is for the good and what went by, happened for the best.” The actress expressed that she is a “very religious person” and a staunch believer in Goddess Durga. She mentioned that any new thing in her life is placed in front of the goddess first, and then she uses it.
Pavitra Punia added that she travelled via train and mentioned that she was afraid that she wouldn’t be able to take the trip because it was quite chilly in Delhi and she was already anxious, trains were being delayed due to fog. Moreover, she was not concerned about being recognised, as she wrapped herself well and wore a hoodie. But the actress mentioned that she made the most of this trip.
Back in November 2023, Pavitra Punia’s father met with an accident while cleaning the balcony in their home. He suffered fractures and was on bed rest for a few days. Eventually, he succumbed to his injuries on November 6. Remembering her father, the actress told ETimes, “He believed in never giving up in life and would work hard to overcome odds and obstacles. He retired last year and then moved to Mumbai. I feel sad thinking that my father is no longer here to bless me.” Pavitra Punia’s father, Kushal Pal Singh, was with the Delhi Police.
