TV actor Kinshuk Mahajan is set to appear in the upcoming TV show Megha Barsenge where he will be seen portraying the role of Manoj, an NRI spouse. The actor recently revealed that he has shed 10 kilograms for the role. In a Colors TV press note, the actor opened up about his weight loss journey and how it impacted his personal growth.
Mahajan conveyed his gratitude for the role in Megha Barsenge, noting that it has given him a valuable opportunity for personal growth. “I’m grateful for the fantastic opportunity to challenge myself and grow with Megha Barsenge. This journey of shedding 10 kilos isn’t just about looking the part, it’s about feeling authentic in Manoj’s skin,” he said. Mahajan further shared that during his journey he would push himself to new limits everyday with physical activities like treadmill running and rigorous weight training. He noted that while the physical challenges are significant, the real test is maintaining discipline outside the gym.
The actor highlighted the details about the changes he made for the transformation, revealing that he “completely cut” sugar from his diet. “This transformation is teaching me so much about discipline and dedication. It’s not just about the physical changes, but also the mental strength it’s building. I’m learning to see food as fuel for my body and performance, rather than just satisfaction for my taste buds,” he added.
Mahajan acknowledged the difficulties he faced such as managing cravings and enduring demanding workout routines but he found motivation in the visible progress he made. “The challenges are real – from dtrealing with cravings to pushing through tough workouts when my body wants to give up. But the excitement of seeing the gradual changes in my physique and feeling more aligned with Manoj’s character keeps me going. I’m sure my commitment to the character will translate on screen,” he said.
Alongside Mahajan, Megha Barsenge will feature Neha Rana in the role of Megha. The show will revolve around the story of a newlywed bride who is deceived and abandoned by her NRI groom. Following which, she takes charge of herself and restores her family’s respect with the help of a well-wisher. Neil Bhatt is also part of the show.
Earlier, Rana expressed her excitement about the role, stating, “I can’t wait for the audiences to witness Megha’s journey of self-discovery, resilience, and empowerment.” Megha Barsenge will premiere on Colors TV on August 6.
