Aashish Mehrotra's Anupamaa Co-Star Sagar Parekh On His Exit: 'Will Miss Paritosh Shah'

Aashish Mehrotra’s recent announcement of bidding adieu to the immensely popular TV show Anupamaa sent shockwaves across the entertainment industry. The actor, known for his portrayal of Toshu, took to social media to express his heartfelt gratitude to fans for their unwavering support and love. His exit garnered reactions from both fans and colleagues in the industry. Now, Sagar Parekh, who previously portrayed Samar Shah in Anupamaa, shared a touching message expressing his admiration for Aashish’s character on the show.

Sagar posted a throwback picture with Aashish on his Instagram story. He wrote, “This innocent photo will always be remembered. Always happy, healthy, and shining wherever you are bhai. Thank you for your role as Paritosh Shah. I will miss Paritosh Shah’s role.”

Just a day ago, Aashish shared a photo with the show’s director, Rajan Shahi, taken at a party hosted by Anupamaa aka Rupali Ganguly. In the caption, Aashish expressed his gratitude towards the director. Aashish wrote, “To the man who builds great characters and tells stories better than anyone else…Thank you for giving me the chance to be Toshu. Thank you for pushing me to do everything I did on the show. Thank you for having faith in me and giving me so many shades to portray. Thank you for all that you did for me when I was at my lowest…Thank you for standing by me! I feel truly grateful and blessed…Thank you for everything. Thank you for giving me my best work to date…Rajan Sir!!”

Reports indicate that Aashish has departed from the show to embark on a new venture through Rohit Shetty’s Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. A source close to the actor has revealed that he has indeed confirmed his participation and will soon grace the reality show with his presence.

In Anupamaa, Aashish Mehrotra portrayed the character of Paritosh Shah, also known as Toshu, the elder son of Anupamaa and Vanraj Shah. Meanwhile, Sagar Parekh took over the role of Samar Shah, the younger son of Anupamaa and Vanraj, replacing Paras Kalnawat in July 2022. However, he left the show in October 2023 as part of the storyline, which depicted Samar’s demise attributed to declining TRP ratings.

Sagar Parekh is currently portraying the role of Shantanu in Pandya Store.
