Riding a motorbike is an affordable form of commute for a majority of people in India. Due to lower prices and greater fuel economy, it is a go-to option for many. Motorcycles are a luxury good and used for recreation or as a lifestyle accessory as well. On a good weather day, one can see people stepping outside their homes for a ride on their bikes. Naturally, adventure enthusiasts love to take their bikes out for long drives as it is a stress-free activity for them. Recently, a man named Vijay has travelled about 3,000 kilometres on his bike for 18 days. Vijay works as a junior assistant at Gurukul School in Telangana’s Karimnagar. He is very fond of riding his bike and often takes long drives to different places during his holidays. Now that the school is closed for summer vacation, Vijay travelled about 3,000 kilometres from Adilabad to Ladakh in 18 days. In an interview with Local18, Vijay revealed that he has loved bike riding since his childhood days.
For travelling, the young man has installed boxes on both sides of his Royal Enfield bike to keep luggage and other riding-related material needed for his driving in it. He has invested about Rs 2 lakh on his riding shoes, gloves and helmet. For him, riding a bike is an activity of relaxation.
In the interview, he revealed that he began bike riding in 2017. He shared that he often goes on a trip with his best friend, Anup, with whom he goes on long drives. For the duo, the long drive relieves them of their stress. Further, Vijay expressed his desire that in future, he will be visiting all the countries of the world and explore other parts of India on his bike. He advised the youth that no matter the amount of pressure in one’s life, if one chooses a field of their choice and excels in it, there will be comparatively less pressure.
