Tecno is broadening its range of budget-friendly 5G devices with the introduction of the Tecno Pop 9 5G in India. This new model succeeds the Pop 8, which was launched earlier this year, and features a high resolution rear camera along with NFC support. We’re gradually going to see more affordable 5G phones launch in the market, something that Qualcomm has advocated for with its new 5G chipset but other chip makers are also in the mix.

Tecno Pop 9 5G price in India starts from Rs 9,499 for the base 4GB+64GB variant, while the 128 GB variant will cost Rs 9,999. The device is currently available for pre-booking and will go on sale on October 7.
The Tecno Pop 9 5G will be available in three different colour ways i.e. Aurora Cloud, Azure Sky and Midnight Shadow. However, two complementary phone skins will be shipped with the handset.

The Tecno Pop 9 5G features an LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, complemented with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. It runs on the Android 14 operating system.
The phone weighs 189 grams, comes with IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance and features dual speakers with Dolby Atmos for an enhanced audio experience.
The device gets a 48 MP Sony IMX582 rear sensor sensor paired with an LED flash, while an 8MP front-facing camera ensures clear selfies and video calls.
The Tecno Pop 9 5G packs a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18W wired charging. Connectivity options include dual SIM (Nano + Nano), a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C Type, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC. The company also guarantees a lag-free experience for over four years with this new device.
