Nextbit is bringing its first smartphone Robin to the Indian market. The Nextbit Robin stands out with its striking design and a cloud-first approach.
The phone comes with 100 GB of cloud storage, along with 32 GB on board, on which the Android-Marshmallow Nextbit OS automatically backs up apps and images. The phone is expected to be priced around Rs 20,000.
The Robin is powered by a Snapdragon 808 supported by 3 GB RAM. The display is a 5.2-inch 1080p IPS LCD with Gorilla Glass 4 protection atop.
The rear camera in the phone is a 13 megapixel with phase detection autofocus and dual-tone flash, while the front camera is 5 megapixels.
The power button in the Robin also doubles as a fingerprint sensor. The phone comes with USB Type-C but a charger isn't included in the package.
Nextbit's top management includes past Google and HTC executives.
The phone began as a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter and reached its funding goal within a month.
