New Delhi: Gionee recently unveiled its new flagship Elife E7 smartphone in India after launching it at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. While the company associated with manufacturing slim phones has not gone public with its plans ahead in the smartphone segment, new leaks show a purported Elife E8 device which could potentially be a successor to the E7 but boast of more powerful features.
According to the latest images spotted on GizmoChina, the Elife E8 sports a metal frame and has physical buttons on the right. The volume rocker is located above the power/lock button and a physical camera shutter button sits right below them.
Earlier rumours have pointed to the Elife S8’s rear camera being 23 megapixel which will be able to produce a 100 megapixel photo, Android Headline reports. It will have an 8 megapixel front-facing camera.
The upcoming flagship smartphone has got certified by TENAA, which is China’s equivalent to the FCC, and according to the association, the handset will feature a 4.6-inch quad HD AMOLED display that offers 2560x1440 ppi resolution. The phone will be powered by 2 GHz octa core SoC combined with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.
It will be powered by a 3520mAh battery and support4G LTE networks as well. The phone will run Android 5.0 Lollipop with Gionee’s Amigo OS on top.
Unlike its predecessor, the Elife S8 will be 9.6mm in thickness. It is expected that the device will be announced in July.
