New Delhi: It seems Google wants to go beyond its Glass wearable and explore the potential holographic displays hold.
The search giant has filled a patent for a ‘head wearable display,’ possibly something similar to its existing Glass project (Project Aura), that would show holograms.
The purported headset would create an augmented reality experience that would be more immersive and involving with a wider field of view, Engadget reports.
As with every patent, this one too doesn’t guarantee that the technology will lead to fruition, however, given the little success Google’s Glass project has been able to achieve by far, it seems like the right decision to move ahead with newer technology of augmented reality.
