Famous actor and political leader Captain Vijayakanth passed away on December 28, 2023, after battling with Covid-19. The whole nation was shocked to hear the news of his passing. Vijayakanth was quite popular among the masses for his action-packed roles. Later, he ventured into politics and formed the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK). Many celebrities from the film industry and the political fraternity came to pay their homage to Captain Vijayakanth. Popular Tamil actor Arun Vijay was the latest one to join the bandwagon.
Arun Vijay is currently shooting for his upcoming film, Vanangan, which has been directed by filmmaker Bala. While shooting for one of his films, Arun Vijay got injured and fractured his arm. In this situation, he has been on rest for the past month. Due to this, he could not participate in Vijayakanth’s last rites. As a result, he came to pay his last respects by visiting Vijayakanth’s memorial in person. He performed an aarti and paid his respects.
After performing the aarti, Arun Vijay spoke to the media as well. He said, “At that time, due to my injury, I could not participate in Vijayakant Ayya’s funeral. That said, it has become an incurable scar on my mind. People who come into the film industry and want to be like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. They are also great actors. But I always wanted to be a great action hero like Vijayakanth.”
He added that his fights always had a unique character, and he always also wanted to be an action hero like Vijayakanth. Arun Vijay has also worked with many stuntmen who have worked with Vijayakanth. Once, he met Captain as well, and he praised Arun for his dedication. Arun also said that Captain also taught him how to act in risky scenes. He said that the Captain’s death is seen as a great loss to the people of Tamil Nadu.
