Remember Rakshitha Who Made Her Debut With 2002 Movie Appu? This Is What She Is Doing Now
Rakshitha gained fame as a prominent Kannada actress following the success of the movie Kalasipalya.

Rakshitha is one of the leading television personalities, film producers, and former actresses known for working in Kannada cinema, as well as in a few Telugu and Tamil films. She made her acting debut with the 2002 Kannada film Appu alongside Puneeth Rajkumar. Since then, she featured in a string of films including Idiot, Dum, Dhumm, Pellam Oorelithe, Nijam, Sivamani, Gokarna, Andhrawala, and Madhurey among others.

The actress gained fame as a prominent Kannada actress following the success of the movie Kalasipalya. Alongside Puneeth Rajkumar, she collaborated with other leading Kannada actors of her era namely Upendra, Sudeep, Darshan and Aditya. Her onscreen pairing with actors like Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Mahesh Babu and Jr NTR was also widely praised.

Despite reaching the peak of her career, Rakshitha scaled back on acting projects after she tied the knot with director Prem in 2007. Instead, she shifted her focus to film production. Notably, she assumed the role of producer for the film Jogayya, directed by Prem and featuring Shivarajkumar in the lead role.

She last appeared in the film Thayiya Madilu. The film received moderate success at the box office. However, the performance of the lead actors in the film garnered praise from critics. In 2022, she gave a special appearance as herself in the Kannada film Ek Love Ya.

Besides acting and producing films, she also joined Politics. In March 2012, Rakshitha announced her affiliation with the Badavara Shramikara Raitara Congress, founded by politician B Sriramulu in 2013. Serving as the President of the women’s wing until April 2013, she parted ways with the party due to disagreements over her candidacy in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly election. Rakshitha joined the Janata Dal (Secular). But she resigned in March 2014 and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Not so long ago, Rakshitha made a guest appearance on the popular show Weekend With Ramesh. On the show, she entertained viewers with her stories and reminded everyone of her lasting impact on audiences. She mentioned how she confronted a thief who broke into her home at the age of 13.
