Director Midhun Manuel Thomas is all set to entertain the masses with his next, Abraham Ozler. The makers of the film recently dropped its trailer which has taken the Malayalam cinema by storm. The trailer hints at a strong comeback of actor Jayaram, who is playing a cop. The intriguing trailer introduces the guilt-ridden titular character, who, for some unknown reason, keeps bringing food to a culprit in a prison. Known for comic roles, Jayaram plays an insomniac in this film. His character believes that there is no place even in hell for people like him. The story takes an interesting turn when he is assigned an unsolvable case. It displays an in-depth police investigation led by Jayaram’s character while also focusing on an underlying emotional plot in the film. The film boasts an ensemble cast of actors including Anaswara Rajan, Arjun Ashokan, Senthil Krishna, Jagadeesh, and many more, who played crucial roles in the films.
Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana fame Midhun Mukundan was roped in as music composer for the film, whereas the camera and editing were done by Theni Eswar and Shameer Muhammed, respectively. The film is also expected to feature Mammootty in a special cameo role. In the end of the trailer, Mammootty can be heard saying “Devil’s alternative” which is proof that he will be a part of the film.
The team of Abraham Ozler initially planned to organise a trailer launch event to unveil the promo, but they went on with the decision to give the money to Mathew, a 15-year-old dairy farmer in Kerala. Mathew lost 13 cows due to food poisoning. Actors like Prithviraj and Mammootty also donated a huge sum to help the young boy and his family.
Abraham Ozler will release on January 11. Jayaram will also be seen alongside Mahesh Babu in Telugu film Guntur Kaaram. Jayaram is also collaborating again with Thalapathy Vijay, after their 2012 film Thuppaki, with Venkat Prabhu’s film titled The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT).
