New Delhi: The new Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, who also happens to be the chief patron of Hindu Yuva Vahini, is not less than any God for Sunil Singh, who heads the outfit.
Singh, who was once expelled from the Vahini on charges of indiscipline, claims his mentor has reinstated him. So now that Adityanath is at the high seat in Lucknow, what’s on the cards for the Yuva Vahini? Singh explains in an exclusive interview:
Q: How do you see Yogi Adityanath as the Chief Minister of the state?
A: I have been associated with Maharaj Ji (Yogi Adityanath) for a very long time and I am a big fan of his style of working. He has been a five-time Member of Parliament and I always felt that he has the potential to become Chief Minister of the state one day. The state of Uttar Pradesh was lagging behind in development; corruption was visible in the entire state, the overall condition of Uttar Pradesh was so bad that I cannot even describe in words. The only man I could see who could actually improve the condition of UP and set everything right for the state was Yogi Aditya Nath Maharaj Ji.
Q: You two had but fallen apart. Are the issues resolved now?
A: My only difference with him was that I wanted him to be the CM candidate and Maharaj Ji kept on avoiding it. That was the only difference between us. And today after 15 years of hard work we all have done for Hindu Yuva Vahini, we all feel that our dream has come true. My happiness is equal to how happy Hanuman Ji was when Prabhu Ram came to Ayodhya after Lanka Dahan. I am his Hanuman and he is my Ram. Yogi ji never asked me to propose his name for CM candidature, but has Ram ever asked Hanuman to go for Lanka Dahan? I fought with Yogi for Yogi. Now, all the issues have been resolved and Maharaj Ji has given me his blessings, and I hope Hindu Yuva Vahini will live upto the expectation of Maharaj Ji.
Q: Did you meet him after he took oath as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh?
A: Today, Maharaj Ji is the CM and lots of people are coming with sweets and good wishes. Yes, I met Maharaj Ji and he reciprocated happiness and gave his blessings. For me he is my Guru and a Guru can never be angry with his followers. My happiness cannot be gauged on any parameter, I am sure Uttar Pradesh will be a changed state soon, I know Maharaj Ji is the right man to bring development to the state.
Q: How do you plan to take Hindu Yuva Vahini forward?
A: Hindu Yuva Vahini does not have any political aspirations; we have always worked for betterment of society, country and culture. Yogi Adityanath Ji has always taught us to fight for our culture, country and society. If at any point of time administration needs our help, we will be more than ready. We want to see Ram Rajya in the state and we will go to any extent to do it.
Q: What’s your take on anti-Romeo Squad?
A: It is for the safety and betterment of females of our state and it is a welcome step by the government. We will try and propagate the idea behind anti-Romeo Squad to the people as many youngsters have a misconception about it. It will be for their help and not for unnecessary disturbance. Hindu Yuva Vahini will always be ready for any kind of help if needed from administration but we certainly do not have any plans to run parallel administration.
Q: People are scared about Hindu Yuva Vahini and its people, how will you deal with it?
A: See, Hindu Yuva Vahini is a cultural outfit founded by Yogi Ji, now with him becoming the Chief Minister of State we have more responsibility to undertake. If any member of Yuva Vahini goes wrong, then it will be directly a blot on the image of Maharaj Ji, which we will never want to happen. We will continuously work for the betterment of the state under the guidance of Yogi Ji and will make sure that our Maharaj Ji turns out to be the best Chief Minister Uttar Pradesh could ever have.
