New Delhi: BJP Vice-President Vinay Katiyar on Wednesday said that the party will not support Babu Singh Kushwaha if he is found guilty in the NHRM scam.
"Let the law take its course. Why Chidambaram is not suspended, why Delhi Chief Minister still in office? If he is found guilt then we will not be with him. We have not taken him to fight election. We will not give him ticket," Katiyar said.
"BJP's image is not dented. Let the law take its own course and charges on him be proved," he added.
BJP leader Anant Kumar also supported the UP leader. "Kushwaha is one of the strongest leaders of the OBC in UP. BJP is getting stronger day by day."
Congress spokesperson Rashid Alvi criticised BJP on the issue by saying, "BJP talks about strong Lokpal to fight corruption, they are planning to met President, Advani went on yatra but today all corrupt minister from UP are joining BJP. All of them are corrupt and some of them have murder charge against them, These are two faces of BJP. This is why BJP did not allow Lokpal bill in the Rajya Sabha."
