New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party MP Subramanian Swamy on Tuesday took a dig at Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi by raising the issue of Mahatma Gandhi's assassination.
Congress created uproar and protested during Swamy's speech. Swamy, in turn, took a dig at the Gandhi family saying he won't be naming any other Gandhi except the Mahatma.
Swamy said facts must be presented to prevent to any assertion citing documents which say no post-mortem was done on Gandhi's body.
"Recently, Narendra Modi government has put most of the files related to Mahatma Gandhi's assassination in the national archives. A lot of scurrilous comments are being made even by Parliamentarians. The Supreme Court has to pull them up and give them a stern warning. Records show that Mahatma Gandhi was not subjected to any post mortem which is why there is discrepancy in the bullet shots fired," Swamy said.
Rahul had earlier refused to apologise for saying Rashtriya Swayamdevak Sangh murdered Mahatma Gandhi.
