TRS Wins by Over 45,000 Votes in Palair Assembly Bypoll

Hyderabad: Ruling TRS candidate and Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has won the Palair Assembly bypoll in Telangana by a margin of over 45,000 votes.

Thirteen candidates, including nine Independents, were in the fray. The by-election was necessitated after Congress MLA from the constituency Ramreddy Venkat Reddy passed away in March.

The ruling TRS tried to woo voters on the "developmental work" it plans to undertake in the constituency if elected, while Congress tried to "encash" the sympathy wave due to Reddy's sudden demise.

What's your reaction?
