Ghaziabad: Amidst confusion on how to take the movement forward, Team Anna's Core Committee will meet without Anna Hazare on Monday at Arvind Kejriwal's House in Kaushambi near the national capital, which is the headquarters of India Against Corruption, to discuss the future strategies.
This comes a day after anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare was discharged from the hospital. He is now recuperating at his village Ralegan Siddhi and has already declared that he will not campaign in the five upcoming state elections.
The Core Committee meeting was earlier postponed, following Hazare's health concerns.
Team Anna has also cancelled its plans of the 'jail bharo andolan' after the doctors attending to Anna Hazare advised him rest for a month.
There have been other setbacks as well - Shanti Bushan, a team member, has been indicted for evading stamp duty on an Allahbad property. The team has also been criticised after volunteers showed the Prime Minister black flags at the Godlen Temple.
In its first meeting since Anna Hazare broke his fast in Mumbai in the last week of December, Team Anna will anlyse how to take the fight against corruption and the Jan Lokpal Bill agitation foward after unwell Anna decided to move out of the poll campaign against the Congress.
Moreover, Hazare has been asked not to fast in the near future. So, the team is vague about its next strategy.
Last week, Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal reached to the general public, inviting suggestions for the team's future plans. He had said that Hazare felt betrayed after the government failed to get a strong Lokpal Bill in Parliament.
