Rajnath Singh alleged that while SP, BSP looted the state, the UPA government did the same at Centre.

Sultanpur: Attacking both SP and BSP for supporting Congress-led UPA government at the Centre, senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh on Sunday charged both parties with supporting it for "saving" their leaders from CBI probe.

"The SP and BSP have supported Congress-led UPA government at the Centre to save their leaders from the probe by CBI, which is under direct control of the Centre," Singh said while addressing an election meeting.

He alleged that while SP, BSP looted the state, the UPA government did the same at Centre.

Charging the opposition parties with playing the Muslim card to secure their vote bank, Singh said Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid violated EC's directions, which is condemnable.

The minister, while addressing an election rally in Farrukhabad, had promised the electorate last month that the Congress would increase the sub-quota for minorities to nine per cent, out of the 27 per cent Other Backward Classes (OBC)

reservation.

Meanwhile, referring to Rahul Gandhi's comment on "elephant" (BSP symbol) eating the public money, Singh said that in spite of the information about the corrupt practice, the Centre did not take any step in this regard.
