Teny was reportedly with Rocky in the vehicle when the incident happened.

Gaya: Teny Yadav, a close friend of Rakesh Ranjan Yadav alias Rocky Yadav who is the main accused in the Gaya road rage case, surrendered before a court in Gaya on Monday morning. He has been sent to 14 days in judicial custody.

He was reportedly with Rocky in the vehicle when the incident happened. He fled from the spot after Rocky allegedly shot at and killed 20-year-old Aditya Sachdeva on the night of May 7 for overtaking his Land Rover SUV near Gaya.

Rocky is the son of Janata Dal United MLC Manorama Devi, who has been suspended from the party.

She had filed an anticipatory bail petition in a Gaya court on May 13. She has been absconding after being booked under the Bihar Excise (Amendment) Act, 2016 for allegedly storing liquor bottles in her house despite prohibition in Bihar.

Her husband and a notorious strongman Bindeshwar Prasad Yadav alias Bindi Yadav is also in jail in connection with Sachdeva's murder.

Police sources claim Rocky has admitted that he fired at Sachdeva. A Gaya court had on May 10 sent him to 14 days in judicial custody.
