Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) is planning to go solo in the Maharashtra Assembly Elections. The party might contest 200-225 seats in the state.
According to an India Today report, Raj Thackeray is upset at some of the schemes announced by the Eknath Shinde government such as Ladli Behna and Ladla Bhai, under which cash has been promised to women and youth.
Earlier, it was reported that the Shiv Sen (UBT) has also initiated a screening process to select candidates for the assembly polls in the state.
In June, a meeting was held at Sena Bhavan, Uddhav Thackeray also asked all his ‘Sampark Pramukhs’ (communication chiefs) across the state to submit a report on what will happen if the party decides to go solo in the assembly or contest an ally of the INDIA bloc.
