Rahul Gandhi is immature, India stands educated on Congress and Gandhi family: Arun Jaitley
The government claimed that the Congress cannot tolerate that anyone from outside the Gandhi family is ruling the country.

After the washout of the Monsoon Session of Parliament due to protests by Congress-led opposition, the government on Thursday announced a programme aimed at "exposing" the Congress party.

Addressing mediapersons in the national capital, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the government would go to all 53 Lok Sabha constituencies being held by Congress and Left and expose what they did in Parliament.

"One NDA minister and four BJP MPs will visit each constituency and expose Congress and Left leaders," said Jaitley.

Asserting that Congress could not tolerate that anyone from outside Gandhi family was ruling the country, the Union Minister said, "Its policy seems to be to just stop any other government in power."

"India stands educated about Congress and the family that controls it," he said, adding that no other party supremo had ever entered the well of the House ever.

Directing his attack at Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, the senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said that he had no knowledge about the difference between political slogans and Parliamentary speech.

"When seniority is thrust on you, a certain level of maturity is required. The more he grows, the more he immatures," said the Finance Minister.

This came hours after Prime Minister equated the attitude of the Congress party with that during the Emergency days.

Hitting out directly at the Gandhi family, PM Modi accused the Congress of being "desperate as it wants power to remain concentrated with one family".

"The Congress wants to save the (Gandhi) family, BJP wants to save the nation," said the Prime Minister while addressing the MPs of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Reacting to the remark by PM Modi, Congress leader Manish Tewari said that the PM must remember that "it is the responsibility of the government to run the House".

"If the House did not run, Prime Minister is responsible for the same. He did not even have the courage to face the opposition on the floor of the House," said Tewari.

He blamed the Prime Minister for resorting to "rhetoric to justify his failure in running the House during Monsoon Session".

This came after both Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha were on Thursday adjourned sine die as the Monsoon Session of Parliament ended without any business.
