New Delhi: On a day when the country bid adieu to 25 CRPF men, who were killed in a Naxal attack in Sukma, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, in a tweet, hit a discordant note and took a swipe at the BJP government's claim of "demonetisation having neutralized Naxalism".
Rahul Gandhi hoped that the "revised strategy has a little more purpose and impact".
Last heard 'demonetization' was the Govt's strategy to neutralize Naxalism. I hope the 'revised' strategy has a little more purpose & impact https://t.co/fNBGUOHlbT — Office of RG (@OfficeOfRG) April 25, 2017
The tweet was apparently in response to Home Minister Rajnath Singh's decision to 'revise our LWE strategy'.
"We have decided to revise our LWE strategy if need be,have called a meeting of officials of various state govts on May 8th," said Rajnath Singh
In the wake of demonetisation exercise the BJP had claimed the Naxals are likely to suffer as they may struggle to deposit the demonetised cash which experts say runs in hundreds of crores
