PM pulls up Azad, Joshi, tells them to buck up
Manmohan Singh has pulled up two of his key ministers.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has pulled up two of his key ministers - Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and Rural Development Minister C P Joshi. The duo have been told to buck up.

Sources have told CNN-IBN that the Prime Minister has written to both ministers expressing his unhappiness and pointing out specific issues that need to focus on more.

The Prime Minister has told Health Minister Azad that key health sectors are being ignored. He has specifically asked Azad to fast track the modernisation of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi.

He has also asked for more to be done on rural health issues.

Meanwhile, C P Joshi has been told that the rural employment scheme was not effective in several states.

The Prime Minister has asked for a report from both ministers within 30 days.
