New Delhi: President Pratibha Patil, Vice-President Hamid Ansari, Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee and a host of other leaders greeted Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on his 75th birthday on Wednesday.
An official spokesman was quoted by agencies as saying the leaders sent flowers and greetings to Dr Singh, who is recovering at his official residence after surgery for a prostate gland problem.
The spokesman added that UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi drove to the PM's residence to wish him.
Dr Singh, who has been functioning from home since last week, was born in 1932.
The PM, who does not celebrate his birthday, is slated to release the autobiography of legendary Bollywood actor, director and producer Dev Anand, Romancing with Life later on Wednesday.(With inputs from Agencies)
