New Delhi: The UPA-Left Presidential nominee Pratibha Patil will file her nomination papers on June 23, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunshi said in the Capital tonight.
Dasmunshi is a member of the UPA coordination committee constituted for the purpose and met Patil on Sunday to discuss the strategy for the poll.
Patil will file her nominations after resigning from the post of Governor of Rajasthan.
On Sunday, she met leaders across the political spectrum to ensure a smooth passage to Raisina Hill.
Patil met ex-prime minister and Jan Morcha leader VP Singh and Karan Singh, one of the presidential candidates before Patil was declared the UPA's consensus candidate.
Patil was also expected to meet Union Human Resource and Development Minister Arjun Singh and Lok Sabha speaker Somnath Chatterjee.
On Saturday, Patil had met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Left leaders besides Railway Minister Lalu Prasad.
