New Delhi: Demanding answers from the West Bengal government, leaders from various parties raked up the issue of nun rape case in Parliament on Monday.
BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh said, "Women in West Bengal are unsafe, we have seen this time and again. No law and order despite Mamata being woman Chief Minister. Derek should hold march in Kolkata now protesting against his own government."
CPI National Secretary D Raja demanded reply from government on increasing number of attacks on Christians.
Police have so far detained eight people in connection with the alleged gangrape of an elderly nun and loot at a convent school in West Bengal's Nadia district.
Congress leader Manish Tewari also criticised the incident and said, "Reflection on sad, pathetic and depraved state of society, West Bengal government must book culprits and give them the punishment they deserve."
