Mammootty believes it's only by voting one "becomes a part of the democracy".
Kochi: Malayalam superstar Mammootty took time out from shooting for his latest movie Daddy Cool to cast his vote on Thursday for the parliamentary polls since he believes that it is only by voting that one "becomes a part of the democracy".
"I am busy filming my new movie Daddy Cool but I voted because it is only by casting the vote that one becomes a part of the democracy," Mammooty told IANS after casting his ballot at the polling booth in Kadavanthara.
There have been speculations in the past about the actor entering politics as he is the chairman of Kairali TV, a channel promoted by the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M).
