New Delhi: With already two major Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders - External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje - embroiled in the controversy surrounding the former Indian Premier Legaue (IPL) chief Lalit Modi, it seems that Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, too, is now in the line of fire.

The former IPL chief on Sunday levelled allegations against several senior politicians on social media platform twitter. His tweets targetted the Finance Minister as well as other unnamed senior Congress leaders. Naming the Finance Minister in the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) scam, Modi demanded that Jaitley should make his phone records public.

Fighting the battle for his image, he said, "Happy to take any punishment. But will not cow down due to political pressure. Will fight it all the way in court."

Meanwhile, Jaitley chose to largely stay mum on Lalit Modi, saying he did not "want to comment" on the controversy raging back home. However, Jaitley said that Modi's Rs 11 crore transaction with BJP leader and Raje's son Dushyant Singh was a "commercial" one. "I do not want to comment on him, but it's a commercial transaction between two individuals," Jaitley said on Sunday.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Raje have been facing flak for "helping" Modi in procuring travel documents in the UK, a country which he has made his home to avoid legal processes in India.

Modi, 49, travelled to London in 2010 after the Indian Premier League (IPL) became embroiled in allegations of match-fixing and illegal betting.
