Kejriwal, other AAP MLAs meet Delhi L-G, demand fresh elections
The L-G has said he will consult the BJP as well over fresh polls and will hand over a report to the President over the issue.

New Delhi: The race for government formation in Delhi has intensified. Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal along with other MLAs met Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung on Monday.

Kejriwal pressed his demand for re-elections in Delhi. After the meeting, AAP leader Manish Sisodia said, "We have told the L-G that there is no chance of government formation now in Delhi. So we requested him for fresh polls. The L-G has said he will consult the BJP as well over fresh polls and will hand over a report to the President over the issue."

This comes after reports of the Bharatiya Janata Party keen on forming the government in Delhi.

On Sunday, Delhi BJP President Satish Upadhyay met Home Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss the situation in Delhi. Upadhyay said the party will decide whether to take a shot at government formation if it is invited to do so by the Lt Governor.
