Dialogue best way to solve Ayodhya dispute: Uma Bharti
Uma said that the solution to the "land dispute" in Ayodhya can be found through legislation, court verdict or through talks but the best way was through talks.

Bhopal/New Delhi: BJP leader Uma Bharti, who was appointed party vice president on Sunday, said the best way to find a solution to the Ayodhya dispute was through talks.

Uma Bharti, who has been associated with the Ramjanambhoomi movement, said in Bhopal that the solution to the "land dispute" in Ayodhya can be found through legislation, court verdict or through talks but the best way was through talks.

The former Madhya Pradesh chief minister's appointment is being seen as a signal by party president Rajnath Singh to the rank and file that the BJP has not given up core Hindutva issues such as construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya.

Uma Bharti has also been articulating issues considered close to the Rashstriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the ideological fountainhead of BJP.

Of late, she has actively taken up the cause of cleanliness of Ganga river.

According to informed sources, the RSS does not want the BJP to lose sight of core Hindutva issues as the party seeks to take on the Congress on the plank of development in the next Lok Sabha polls.

Alongside Uma Bharti's elevation, Vinay Katiyar, who has also been associated with the Ramjanambhoomi movement and is considered a hardliner, has been made a member of the party's central election committee which will decide allocation of tickets for the forthcoming polls.
