Deepak Bhardwaj murder: Police search for a mysterious man
According to sources one of the shooter, Purushottam Rana, has claimed that one Mahant played a major role in Bhardwaj's murder.

New Delhi: The mystery behind billionaire Bahujan Samaj Party leader and real estate tycoon Deepak Bhardwaj's murder is yet to resolved. After arresting the two men who allegedly shot dead Bhardwaj, the richest candidate in the 2009 Lok Sabha polls from Delhi with declared assets of over Rs 600 crore, at his farmhouse in Delhi on March 26 in his 35-acre farmhouse in south Delhi's Rajokri, Delhi Police is searching for a mysterious man identified as Mahant.

According to Delhi Police sources one of the arrested shooter, Purushottam Rana, has claimed that Mahant played a major role in Bhardwaj's murder. Police teams have already raided several places in Delhi and Uttarakhand to locate and apprehend Mahant. Police sources say another arrested accused Rakesh had introduced Purushottam to Mahant at a meeting of religious leaders in Panipat.

Police have also arrested a man called Pradeep who is suspected to have supplied the weapons to Purushottam Rana and Sunil Mann to kill Bhardwaj. Pradeep is being grilled at the Vasant Kunj police station by a team of Delhi Police officials.

Earlier, Delhi Police had also questioned Bhardwaj's elder son Hitesh. Hitesh was made to confronted the accused and they were asked about the possible motives behind the murder.
