'Choose Ram's Path to Become No. 1 Country': CM Kejriwal Calls Ayodhya Mandir a Matter of Pride
"The Pran Pratishtha of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on 22nd January was a matter of immense pride and happiness for everyone across the world," Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday talked about the grand ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony at the new Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22 and called it a matter of “immense pride and happiness”.

“The Pran Pratishtha of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on 22nd January was a matter of immense pride and happiness for everyone across the world,” the AAP national convenor said while addressing the State Level Republic Day function at Chhatrasal Stadium.

Kejriwal further stated that the Delhi government plans to sponsor the travel of devotees from Delhi to Ayodhya.

“We will try our best to sponsor the travel of devotees from Delhi to Ayodhya Ji. On the one hand, while we have to devote ourselves to Lord Ram, on the other hand, with utmost honesty we have to dedicate ourselves to the welfare of our nation. If we tread the path of Lord Ram, no one can stop India from becoming the world’s number 1 country,” the Delhi CM said.

“We conduct ‘teerth-yatra’ to 12 pilgrimage sites for senior citizens free of cost. Till now, 83,000 people have been taken on ‘teerth-yatra’. Many people have expressed their desire to visit Ayodhya ji. We will try to take as many people as possible to Ayodhya ji,” he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had presided over the ‘pran pratishtha’ of Ram Lalla in the new Ram temple in Ayodhya, which was performed in the presence of 11,000 invitees.

While the grand ceremony was celebrated across the country, it also elicited mixed responses from the opposition alliance.

While the Congress, CPI(M) and TMC had slammed the BJP for “politicising” the event, other parties including AAP, SP and the NCP, had joined in celebrations across the country.

In a post on the microblogging site X, Arvind Kejriwal had congratulated the public on the “sacred occasion of the installation of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram in the grand temple”

“Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all of you on this sacred occasion of the installation of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram in the grand temple. Hail Siya Ram,” Kejriwal said.

“I’m so glad that Ram Lalla’s idol has been consecrated. Last week, we conducted Sundarkand recitations at many places in Delhi. From now onwards, we will organise Sundarkand recitals on the first Tuesday of every month,” he added.
