Charges against my family can never be proved: Sule
Supriya Sule, the daughter of the NCP chief Sharad Pawar, said that everything was done in the Lavasa land deal in accordance with the law.

New Delhi: A day after former IPS officer YP Singh targeted Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar and his family alleging corruption in connection with the Lavasa land deal, Supriya Sule on Friday dismissed the claims saying the matter was sub-judice.

Sule, the daughter of the NCP chief, said that these allegations had been levelled against her family on several occasions, but nothing could be proved as "everything was done in accordance with the law".

"This is a really old issue. Also, the matter is sub-judice. I can't say much but I will say that every single time these allegations have been levelled against our family, nothing has been proved. And I will tell you that nothing will ever be proved. Everything was done in accordance with the law," said Sule.

She further pointed that the shares owned by her family in the Lavasa project were sold off in 2004-2005 and reiterated that the allegations made by the police officer-turned-activist were "absolutely baseless".

On Thursday, YP Singh had alleged that Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule benefitted from the Lavasa land deal because of her cousin Ajit Pawar, who recently resigned as the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra over alleged irregularities in the irrigation scam.
