The party is likely to make many appointments in the near future, including announcing several committees for better election management

BJP president JP Nadda has delegated specific responsibilities to party general secretaries ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

The party has entrusted Vinod Tawde with taking charge of the committee for new joinings. This is a panel which consists of various leaders, including Union ministers Mansukh Mandaviya, Bhupender Yadav, Anurag Singh Thakur and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma amongst others. The committee will assess the feedback, background and ideological commitments of those who want to join BJP ahead of the mega battle.

Sunil Bansal, general secretary and an experienced organisation hand, will handle the campaign and publicity for BJP, helping the party plan its canvassing strategy across the nation.

Another party general secretary, Dushyant Gautam, is in-charge of the committee for outreach. This panel also has a number of Union ministers to plan the outreach across various sections of society. This time around, the biggest focus is on women and youth, particularly first-time voters. The party plans to hold ‘sammelans’ pan-India to woo voters.

Newly inducted general secretary Radha Mohan Das Agarwal is in-charge of preparing the vision document of the party. The team led by Agarwal will work on the vision of the party for the next five years and its key focus areas.

The party is likely to make many appointments in the near future, including announcing several committees for better election management.

Apart from organisational responsibilities, while Sunil Bansal is in-charge of Bengal and co-incharge of Telangana, Vinod Tawde is in-charge of Bihar. Agarwal is also in-charge of Kerala.

This is an extremely important election as the BJP-led Union government seeks its third term in office and PM Narendra Modi looks to become the prime minister for the third time. The saffron party, which is a well-oiled election machinery, is looking at leaving no stone unturned. In one of its recent meetings, BJP national president JP nadda reminded cadre of the slogan ‘Abki Baar 400 Paar’.
