Patna: BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Monday alleged that grand secular alliance leaders Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad betrayed Dalits and OBCs by promising their quota share to minorities.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad at a function 10 years ago had favoured quota for minorities by taking away the share of Dalits and OBCs, he said in a series of tweets.
"The two secular alliance leaders betrayed Dalits and OBCs by proposing to take away their quota share to give it to minorities...ever since their betrayal has come to light, both Kumar and Prasad have been maintaining stoic silence on the issue," Modi alleged.
The senior BJP leader said that his party will fight tooth and nail any effort to take away the quota share of Dalits and OBCs and oppose reservation on religious ground.
On the issue of Kumar's poll advertisement on a Pakistani news website, he said, "Kumar should explain the need for giving an advertisement in a newspaper recently as also why the said GoogleAd was withdrawn if there was no motive to seek political benefit?"
He said Kumar was not the peace ambassador of the United Nations and there could no motive behind the said advertisement other than pursuing votebank politics in Bihar.
