69. Bemetara is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Chhattisgarh and is part of Durg Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Bemetara falls in Durg, Bemetara district and Central region of Chhattisgarh. It is categorised as a rural seat.

There are a total of 2,20,225 voters in the seat, which includes 1,10,944 male voters, and 1,09,276 female voters. In the 2018 Chhattisgarh elections, Bemetara recorded a voter turnout of 78.41%. In 2013 the turnout was 79.32%, and in 2008 it was 69.75%.

In 2013, Awadhesh Singh Chandel of BJP won the seat by a margin of 15,114 votes (9.63%). Awadhesh Singh Chandel secured 47.25% of the total votes polled.
