The Home Minister pointed that no one had the right to take law in their hands.

New Delhi: Condemning the attack on lawyer Prashant Bhushan, Home Minister P Chidambaram on Wednesday said he had directed the Delhi Police Commissioner, B K Gupta, to take appropriate action against the assailants.

Chidambaram said one person involved in the attack had been arrested and police were looking for the other culprits.

He said that an official was sent to enquire about Bhushan to the Ram Manohar Lohia hospital, where the lawyer was taken for treatment.

"No body has the right to take law in their hands and I have asked the Delhi Police to take appropriate action against the people involved in the attack," he said.

Bhushan was attacked by youths suspected to be members of the Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena in his Supreme Court lawyers' chambers.
