Henry Ssenyondo
The second Uganda bowler to feature on this list, Henry Ssenyondo finished the year with 49 wickets. Having bowled a total of 110.4 overs in 2023, Ssenyondo had an astonishing bowling average of 12.02.
Martin Akayezu
Taking the third spot on this list is Rwanda’s Akayezu. The 21-year-old had a phenomenal year for his country, which saw him take 42 wickets in 2023. He played a total of 36 innings while bowling 636 balls at a strike rate of 15.14.
Zappy Bimenyimana
Rwanada’s Zappy Bimenyimana finished his year with 38 scalps. He is the player with the most balls bowled on this list with 666. He gave away a total of 782 runs to secure an economy of 7.04.
Emile Rukiriza
The third Rwanda bowler and the fifth most successful wicket-taker on this list, Emile Rurkiriza took 32 wickets in 2023. He played 31 innings in total in 2023 and was one of the most crucial players in the Rwanda squad.

Vaishnave Mahesh
We start this list with UAE’s ace bowler Vaishnave Mahesh. She took a total of 36 wickets this year in 23 matches. Mahesh bowled a total of 494 balls while boasting a strike rate of 13.72.
Concy Aweko and Kary Chan
Uganda’s Concy Aweko and Hong Kong’s Kary Chan take the joint second place with 35 wickets each. Out of the two, Aweko has a slightly better economy at 3.91 compared to Chan’s 4.79.
Betty Chan
Taking the third spot on this list, Betty Chan took a total of 34 wickets in 2023, in the 23 innings she played for Hong Kong. She delivered a total of six maidens and maintained an astonishing economy of 3.79.
Henriette Ishimwe
Coming in at fourth, Henriette Ishimwe scalped 33 wickets last year for Rwanda. She did so while playing just 21 games and delivering only 380 balls. This saw her notch a jaw-dropping bowling average of 7.00.
Thipatcha Putthawong
Thailand’s Thipatcha Putthawong rounds off this illustrious list with her haul of 32 wickets in 2023. Despite playing just 17 innings, the Thai bowler managed to put up some staggering numbers for her side.
