David Warner had an outstanding ODI World Cup in India as the Australian opener racked up the most runs from his team as they lifted the trophy beating title favourites India in the final on Sunday.
With 535 runs from 11 innings, Warner finished fifth on the list of top run-getters of the competition. He also struck a couple of centuries and scored his runs at an excellent strike-rate of 108.30.
Following the memorable campaign, Warner has fired a shot at his critics on X (formerly Twitter).
“Who said I’m finished??”, Warner wrote quoting a post summing up his incredible record in ODI World Cups.

Warner, 37, has likely played in his final one-day world cup. He has scored 1527 runs at 56.55 with a strike-rate of 101.14 in the competition.
He scored six centuries and five half-centuries too.
Meanwhile, Warner will not be part of the upcoming T20I series between India and Australia that starts from Thursday.
Warner is heading home following what has been a long tour of India that began with an ODI series in the fourth week of September.
“Selectors decided Warner would return home on the back of a successful yet demanding World Cup campaign,” Cricket Australia said in a statement.
Allrounder Aaron Hardie has been called up as his replacement for the five-match series which will kickstart their preparations for the T20 world cup to be played next year.
The squad will be led by wicketkeeper-batter Matthew Wade with several first-choice stars being rested following their world cup triumph.
Australia will start their home season with a Test series against Pakistan in December which will be the last of Warner’s career as the star opener has announced his decision to retire from the format.
Australia’s updated T20I squad: Matthew Wade (captain), Aaron Hardie, Jason Behrendorff, Sean Abbott, Tim David, Nathan Ellis, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Glenn Maxwell, Tanveer Sangha, Matt Short, Steve Smith, Marcus Stoinis, Kane Richardson, Adam Zampa
