The National Institute of Design (NID) is all set to conduct its Design Aptitude Test (DAT) 2024 prelims examination today, December 24. The NID DAT 2024 prelims exam will be conducted for candidates seeking admission in Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) programmes as well as the Master of Design (M.Des) programmes. The exam will be held in a pen-and-paper mode across various centres.
NID DAT 2024: Exam Day Guidelines
It is to be noted that the gates of the examination hall will be closed 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall after that.
Candidates who have recently tested positive for COVID-19 and are in compulsory quarantine as per the government’s guidelines and instructions shall neither be allowed to enter the exam centre nor take the examination. If any candidate has a mild fever, cold, cough, etc., he or she shall not be allowed for examination to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 infection.
NID DAT 2024: Items Allowed/Not Allowed
–– The institute states that the candidates are required to carry a clear printout of all four pages of the NID admit card 2024.
–– Aspirants should also carry a valid ID proof for the verification process containing the full date of birth along with the admit card of NID DAT 2024.
–– In case candidates do not have valid ID proof, they can get both Part A and Part B of the NID DAT admit card 2024 attested by the principal of the current school or college or a Gazetted Officer.
–– Candidates are not allowed to take calculators, mobile phones, digital watches, or any electronic gadget inside the exam centre.
Candidates are not permitted to carry the NID DAT question paper 2024 booklet outside the examination hall. Any attempt to carry a NID question paper outside the examination hall may lead to criminal proceedings.
Those who will qualify for the prelims examination will be eligible to appear for the NID DAT Mains 2024. According to the NID exam date 2024, the DAT mains will take place on April 27 and April 28 for B.Des and between March 3 and April 6 for M.Des programmes.
