The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has revised the counselling schedule for rounds 1 and 2. As per the latest schedule, the reporting process for the shortlisted candidates for round 1 of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test – Super Specialty (NEET SS) 2023 will conclude on November 30. Earlier, the last day to report was November 24.
Candidates will also be required to verify their documentation for admission during the reporting phase. In order to secure the offered seat during the counselling procedure, students must also pay the tuition fee. Candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 5,000 and a refundable security deposit amount of Rs 2 lakh concurrently. Candidates who have successfully qualified for NEET SS 2023 and participated in the counselling process can check the revised seat allotment result 2023 on the official website, mcc.nic.in.
The NEET SS counselling 2023 round 2 registration process will commence on December 5 and conclude on December 10. The choice filling process will be available from December 6 and the choice locking facility from December 10. After the processing of seat allotment from December 11 to 12, the seat allotment result will be declared on December 13. Candidates shortlisted will be required to report to the assigned colleges between December 14 to 20.
The NEET SS is held for admissions to 2,447 seats of Doctor of Medicine (DM) and Masters of Surgery (MCh) programmes at 156 government and private medical schools, as well as Armed Forces Medical Service (AFMS) institutes. Two rounds of NEET SS 2023 counselling will be held by the MCC in order to felicitate admissions to 100 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) Super Specialty DM, MCh seats in central, state and deemed institutions.
For admission to super-specialty courses, the NEET SS 2023 result was released on October 15. Medical, radiodiagnosis, microbiology, pathology, psychiatry, surgery, paediatrics, anaesthesiology, pharmacology, ENT, respiratory medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, and orthopaedics were among the 13 specialties tested.
The NEET SS 2023 included 150 total questions, each worth four marks under the scoring scheme. No marks were to be given for questions that were not attempted, and one mark was to be deducted from each incorrect response in order to arrive at the final score.
