KCET 2024 to be Conducted on April 20 and 21, Notification Soon at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will conduct the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2024 on April 20 and 21, as per media reports. The registration process will begin on January 10 and candidates interested and eligible may apply by visiting the official website of the examination authority at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

The KCET consists of four subjects – biology, mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Each Paper will carry 60 marks. As per reports, Biology, Mathematics, and Physics will be held in the morning shift on April 20 and Chemistry will be conducted in the afternoon shift on April 21. The Kannada language test will be held at Bengaluru, Bidar, Belgaum, Bellary, Vijayapur, and Mangalore centers on August 19 for outlying and bordering Kannadiga candidates.

KCET 2024: How to apply

Once the registration process begins, follow the below step-by-step process to apply for the exam:

Step 1: First visit the official website — kea.kar.nic.in — of the examination authority on your browser.

Step 2: On the homepage of the website, click on the “UGCET-2024 online application” link, which appears under the Flash News section.

Step 3: Now fill in the required details and upload the documents required.

Step 4: Pay the registration fee and submit the application.

Step 5: Once submitted, you can save and download the registration form for future reference.

The exam is held in English and Kannada. It is conducted for a duration of 1 hour 20 minutes. One mark is allotted for each correct answer. There is no negative marking.

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) released the results for the KCET 2023 on June 15. Around 2.6 lakh candidates sat for the KCET 2023 this year, which was administered on May 20 and 21. The KCET 2024 engineering toppers were Vignesh Nataraj Kumar who secured rank 1, Arjun Krishnaswamy who secured rank 2 and rank 3 Samrudh Shetty. The agriculture exam toppers were rank 1 Byresh SH, rank 2 Anurag Ranjan, and rank 3 Kartik Manohar Simhasan. The pharmacy toppers included rank 1 Pratheeksha, rank 2 Malavika Kapoor, and rank 3 Madhav Soorya Tadepalli.
