The pricing of the 2024 Jeep Compass 2WD diesel automatic starts at Rs. 23.99 lakhs (ex-showroom).

With the recent launch of the Compass 4×2 Diesel Automatic, Jeep has made a huge statement in India’s competitive SUV segment.

The new Compass model delivers an attractive combination of performance, efficiency, and affordability, making it a tempting alternative for SUV aficionados all over India. Aditya Jairaj, head of Jeep’s India operations, revealed during the inauguration event that the automaker will establish more than 80 new dealerships by the end of 2023. The new dealership locations have not been revealed yet.

Jeep claims that they are serious about entering the Indian market. As a result, they created a customised Compass version for India. The firm is now selling the two-wheel drive powertrain with an automatic gearbox, which was previously unavailable. The Compass 2WD AT is priced from Rs 23.99 lakh ex-showroom.

In addition, Jeep has reduced the beginning price of the Compass. The Sport variant is now priced at Rs 20.49 lakh ex-showroom. It only has two-wheel drive and a manual gearbox. The top-of-the-line Model S 4×4 AT now costs Rs 32.07 lakh ex-showroom. Jeep’s price approach has made the Compass 4×2 an appealing choice in the luxury SUV sector, catering to a wider spectrum of buyers.

The brand also debuted the new Jeep Compass Black Shark trim. It is based on the Limited trim but has cosmetic changes. Blacked-out parts can be found on the grille and bumper. There are blacked-out alloy wheels on the side. Furthermore, crimson accents on the dashboard and leatherette seats with red stitching are added to the interior. The Black Shark model is priced at Rs 26.49 lakh ex-showroom.

The Jeep Compass is powered by the same 2.0-litre diesel engine that generates 168 horsepower and 350 Nm of peak torque. It is available with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. When the BS6 Stage 2 regulations went into effect, Jeep withdrew the Compass’s turbo petrol engine. It used to be the 1.4-liter Multiair engine, which produced 161 horsepower and 250 Nm. It used to be available with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Jeep is anticipated to release a new turbo-petrol engine in the near future.

The Jeep Compass 4×2 Diesel Automatic’s main feature is its 9-speed automatic gearbox. This gearbox is intended to provide seamless gear shifts, resulting in a smooth and comfortable driving experience. Jeep hopes to increase its presence and appeal to a wider client base by introducing the 4×2 Diesel Automatic model.
